Clayton Homes of Buckhannon
Giving back to the community is very important to each of us and we consider it a blessing and a privilege that we are able to support these groups. We are fortunate to be able to give back to our community and we are thankful we can support these programs and represent Clayton Homes while we do so.
At Clayton Homes of Buckhannon, community involvement is something we take seriously.
For the past seven years we have sponsored the West Virginia Classic Wheels car club July Car Show. This year there were over 25 cars in the show as well as grilled hot dogs and all the trimmings for our visitors. The proceeds from the registration fee paid by the car club members as well as donations from our visitors were all donated to our local Stockert Youth Center here in Buckhannon. During the Car Show this Summer we collected over $1200.00 in donations.
Originally the Stockert Youth Center building was the East Main Street elementary school and was donated to the city by Mr. Tom Stockert. The center provides after school services, meeting places for community groups, gymnasium facilities for youth basketball and our Buckhannon Twirl Girlz, reading and tutoring services for local students.
We have also sponsored the Buckhannon Twirl Girlz since their beginning 4 years ago. The group of over 50 girls have won State and National Twirling Championships each of the 4 years they have attended competitions.
This holiday season we decided instead of our normal "Secret Santa" office gift exchange we all donate toward the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. We adopted a family of four and each child received a new winter coat, hat and gloves as well as a wonderful assortment of age appropriate gifts and as you can see from our pictures these kids will have an awesome Christmas morning!!!
